Terezín

Terezín, also known as Theresienstadt, is a former garrison town which became a Jewish ghetto during the Nazi occupation. During this educational tour, we will visit the local Museum and see pictures and objects from everyday life in the ghetto. Despite the horrible conditions under which the Jewish prisoners had to live, Terezin was known for its rich cultural and spiritual life. As a part of our tour we will visit a secret prayer room as well as the Magdeburg Barracks, including an exhibition of paintings and drawings by the Jewish prisoners. At the end of the tour, we will pause to remember all the victims of Holocaust at the Jewish cemetery.

    There are several options how to extend and deepen the tour and make it even more exciting!

OPTION 1    This tour can be extended up to 8 hours and we can visit also the Small Fortress, a former prison run by Nazi secret police.
